E-Book Readers - Kobo attemps to try stealing Amazon's thunder by introducing its new e-readers and even unveiled an Android tablet a day before Amazone's official announcement
of its new hardware.
The first is Kobo Mini, its features a 5-inch E-lnk touchsreen with 2GB internal storage, WiFi connectivity, and Kobo's social reading funcitions, and for cost is round $ 79.
The second is the Kobo Glo, a slightly larger devices with a $ 129 suggested retail price. Like the Nook with GlowLight and the new Kindle Paper White, it is eqquirped with a 6-inch "ComfortLight" front-lit environments. The Kobo Glo also has the same WiFi radio and internal store.
Kobo Arc is latest low-cost table. The Ice cream Sandwich-powered tablet provides users with recommended e-books based on their personal tastes, while its Tapestries features allows them to "pin" content such as books from the Kobo libraru, Wiki pages, images, and YouTube videos.
The table comes packed with a 1.5GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4470 processor, 1GB of RAM, a 7-inch IPS display with 1280 x 800 resolution, and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera.
